MOBILE PHYSICAL THERAPY
Back, Neck & Joint Pain
Pain can interfere with sleep, work, driving, exercise, lifting, walking, and ordinary daily movement. Peter Mello, PT, DPT provides one-on-one mobile physical therapy in homes, gyms, workplaces, and other appropriate settings.
This may be a good fit if pain is limiting:
- Sleeping or finding a comfortable position
- Sitting, standing, walking, or using stairs
- Driving or turning your head comfortably
- Reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling
- Work duties or household responsibilities
- Exercise, recreation, or return to an active routine
- Confidence after an injury or painful flare-up
You do not need to know the exact diagnosis before calling. The first visit is used to understand what is happening, what matters to you, and whether physical therapy is an appropriate next step.
What the first visit may include
The evaluation is guided by your symptoms, health history, goals, and the activities you need to perform.
- A discussion of how the problem began and how it affects daily life
- Observation of posture, movement, walking, lifting, or other relevant tasks
- Assessment of mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and activity tolerance
- Review of the home, work, exercise, or activity setup when useful
- A clear explanation of findings and reasonable treatment options
- An initial treatment plan and home recommendations
When symptoms suggest that medical assessment or another type of care is needed first, Pete will explain that directly and help clarify the next step.
Treatment built around function
Treatment is selected according to the examination, the person’s goals, and how the problem behaves. It is not a one-size-fits-all exercise list.
- Mobility and flexibility work
- Progressive strengthening and endurance training
- Movement retraining
- Balance or coordination work when relevant
- Manual therapy when clinically appropriate
- Graded return to lifting, carrying, work, exercise, or recreation
- Education about symptom response, pacing, and self-management
- A focused home program that can realistically fit daily life
The goal is to improve the movements and activities that matter outside the visit.
Care where the problem actually happens
A mobile visit can connect care to the chair, desk, bed, stairs, workspace, gym equipment, walking surfaces, loads, and daily movements involved in the problem.
Not every visit must occur in the same setting. The setting can change as the person’s goals and stage of recovery change.
Broad experience, individual attention
Pete brings decades of physical therapy experience across hospital, rehabilitation, outpatient, orthopedic, post-surgical, balance, work-related, and athletic care.
Back, neck, and joint pain do not occur in isolation. Health history, prior injury, work demands, confidence, conditioning, and personal goals all affect the plan. Every visit is one-on-one.
The fee is the same for every eligible direct-pay visit. There are no required packages, treatment tiers, or memberships. A written Good Faith Estimate is provided before the first visit. The direct-pay fee applies after initial screening confirms that this practice and payment arrangement are appropriate for the episode of care.
